At the Geneva Motor Show in 1998, the brand displays on its stand a concept car called twenty heart (20♥) which is a coupé cabriolet version of the 206. It will be the pioneer of the retractable hardtop, taken over later by other brands.

 The invention of this system goes back more than sixty years, when the engineer   Georges Paulin had already installed it on his 401, 601 and 402 Eclipse.

In 2004, the 206 CC was the best-selling coupé cabriolet in Europe, and represented three out of four convertibles sold in France.
